ANOTHER NASA WIN FOR TWU KINESIOLOGY STUDENTS
The all-women space design team, dubbed Atlas, built an exercise device to prevent muscle atrophy and earned TWU’s fourth first-place finish in the NASA-sponsored statewide competition.
TOP 10 GOLD MILITARY FRIENDLY DESIGNATION
TWU was named a Top 10 Gold Military Friendly School, the highest designation awarded to institutions that provide exceptional support to military members, their families and veterans.

MHA TEAMS EARN TOP PRIZE
Two master’s in healthcare administration teams finished in the top three at a competition where students used evidence-based research to identify and recommend interventions to improve hospital programs.
VANDERKOOI ENDOWED LECTURESHIP HITS
The Vanderkooi Endowed Lectureship established in 1994 to honor occupational therapy’s first program director, Fanny B. Vanderkooi, celebrated its 31st anniversary at the annual event in February.

PACT TO PRODUCE TEACHERS
Houston ISD has awarded a $500K grant to TWU to support nearly 100 teaching assistants toward bachelor’s degrees and teaching certificates to produce more Texas public educators.
CARS FOR KIDS
Occupational therapy and nursing students partnered with Texas A&M engineering and medicine students to provide electric vehicles for children with special needs to help them move, socialize and play independently.
